The Rusty Goby is a very hardy aquarium fish that is a great starter for reef tanks. They like to be inside and under corals or rock. At feeding time they will dart out from where ever they are living and snatch little bits of food that float by. Eventually they will hover outside their hole when you approach the tank at feeding time and will wait to be fed. They will eat small pellet foods, as well as flake foods and of course brine shrimp. Like most gobies they get along with most other fish and are not known to eat coral. They are considered to be reef safe, and especially well suited for smaller aquariums. They are common but can be reclusive, but found all throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
