When aquatic life is handled, it is done with the best care and in the best way for each species. Before it is chosen and sent to your aquarium, each specimen is looked at by our experienced aquatics staff.
  • Custom Packing of Aquatic Life: Once the animals in your order have been chosen for shipping, they are carefully placed in fresh or salt water with the right pH and specific gravity in multiple poly bags with thick liners to reduce the chance of punctures or leaks. The bags are filled with pure oxygen and sealed with an airtight and watertight aluminum fastener.
  • Shipping of Aquatic Life: Once your order is properly packed, it is put in insulated coolers to keep the temperature stable during transport (if necessary, warmers or ice packs are included at no additional cost to regulate proper temperature). The cooler is then put in a corrugated cardboard box marked “LIVE CONTENTS” and sent by next-day air so that it will arrive at your door the next day.
